Frank Adler
I grew up in Chicago IL and moved to the Northwest suburb of Itasca IL as a teenager where I met one of my best friends Johnny Battista. He and his dad Eugene Battista took me on my first pheasant hunt when I was 15 years old. After that first experience it was GAME ON! My first deer hunt was with a friend of my mothers who took me to Shawnee National Forest. I harvested a deer on that trip and I have been lucky enough to harvest a deer every year over the next 34 years hunting with a bow and shotgun. Let’s say there’s “a lot of meat in the freezer”! I need to say thanks to those guys who took the time to introduce me to the great outdoors and a special thanks to Todd and Ron Snick for introducing me to the sport of shooting.
Now days I own my own farm in Pike County IL and a resort in Eagle River WI, the experiences never end! I’m blessed with the best wife in the world, Mary, who has given me three awesome children; Jessica, Frankie and Tessa. I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for the past 28 years of my life I have gotten to share with them. We all enjoy the outdoors especially my son Frankie who is as hooked as I am. Teaching him the ways of the outdoors is just as fulfilling as harvesting a trophy buck.
Experiencing the outdoors and watching him call in a turkey, harvest a deer, coyote or goose is a real gift from “The Guy Upstairs”! The outdoors brings out the best in friends and family. After all I have gotten to experience through the help of others, it’s time for me to give back and help others get involved with the outdoors with the help of Scott, Jerry and the rest of the Takedown Outdoors team. I know we can make a difference in bettering someone’s life.
